Chef Katherine Waterloo-Fridl is as eclectic as her place of employment, Café Unique in Cocoa Village, a restaurant where diners know to expect the unexpected.
Waterloo-Fridl may have experienced her biggest challenge of her life at Unique when café owner Maria Lucas tasked her with preparing the food for a wedding reception — for a chef and attended by chefs.
“No pressure there!” Waterloo-Fridl said.
In the end, all the culinarians were delighted with the table of beautifully prepared and presented local seafood dishes.
